Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed Meets Egyptian Counterpart to Discuss Regional Cooperation and Stability

Doha: HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani met with HE Prime Minister of the Arab Republic of Egypt Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, who is currently visiting the country. The meeting focused on bilateral cooperation and strategies to enhance ties, particularly in investment and economic sectors, aiming to explore promising opportunities for the prosperity of both nations and their peoples.

According to Qatar News Agency, the discussions also addressed the latest regional developments, with a focus on the Gaza Strip and the occupied Palestinian territories. The leaders discussed several common concerns and affirmed their commitment to strengthening bilateral relations across various sectors. They emphasized the continuation of joint mediation efforts to achieve a ceasefire in Gaza, facilitate the release of prisoners and detainees, and ensure the entry of aid to mitigate the humanitarian crisis in the Strip.

Both leaders expressed their support for regional and international initiatives aimed at de-escalation and the promotion of stability and peace in the region.
