QAFL Discusses Challenges Facing Logistics Sector

Doha: The Qatar Association for Freight Forwarding and Logistics (QAFL), a committee established under the Qatar Chamber (QC), discussed the challenges facing the logistics services sector. The QAFL explored the formation of a working group to identify the various financial fees and their data within the logistics services sector, aiming to evaluate both direct and indirect costs and compare them with those in other countries.

According to Qatar News Agency, the meeting was held at the QC headquarters and chaired by the Chairman of the Committee and Board Member of the QC, Eng. Ali bin Abdullatif Al Mesned. It was attended by committee members and focused on several key topics, including the selection of candidates from cargo and logistics companies for committee membership.

Additionally, the agenda included participation in the International Federation of Freight Forwarders Associations (FIATA) Congress, scheduled for October 6 to 10, 2025, in Vietnam. The committee also discussed organizing workshops by Qatari companies to address relevant issues and topics within the industry.

Eng. Al Mesned emphasized the commitment of Qatari companies to tackle the challenges facing the logistics sector and work towards viable solutions. He expressed hope that the committee would play a crucial role in enhancing the sector’s performance and overcoming obstacles faced by local companies.
