Qatar and Oman: A Model of Brotherhood and Cooperation.

Doha: In its editorial titled “Qatar and Oman.. A Model of Brotherhood and Cooperation,” Al-Arab highlighted the celebration of Oman’s National Day, emphasizing the nation’s development and stability under its wise leadership. The editorial underscores the exemplary relations between Qatar and Oman, marked by strong historical and cultural ties of kinship, neighborliness, and shared interests.

According to Qatar News Agency, the Qatari-Omani relations are founded on mutual respect and fruitful cooperation across various sectors. Oman serves as a significant trade partner for Qatar, especially in areas like energy, industry, and maritime transport. Politically, Doha and Muscat share alignment on regional and international issues, promoting regional stability and security through constructive dialogue and calm diplomacy.

Al-Arab further emphasized the robust cultural and social connections between the Qatari and Omani peoples. The editorial also noted the significant growth in mutual cooperation in education
and tourism, supported by joint projects aimed at sustainable development.

In a similar vein, Al-Watan acknowledged Oman’s 54th National Day, celebrating its substantial achievements under wise leadership. The editorial, titled “Oman’s Achievements Continue,” highlighted Oman’s progress in the economy, education, and healthcare sectors. The paper noted Oman’s success in reducing debt, boosting GDP, and enhancing educational and healthcare infrastructure in line with Oman Vision 2040.

The steady and well-planned vision of Sultan Haitham bin Tariq has set Oman on a progressive path across various domains, Al-Watan concluded. Meanwhile, The Peninsula, an English newspaper, brought attention to the growing bilateral relations between Qatar and Turkiye. The editorial, “Qatar, Turkiye Boost Cooperation,” mentioned the recent agreements signed at the 10th session of the Qatari-Turkish Supreme Strategic Committee in Ankara, aiming to enhance commercial, economic, and investment ties.

The Peninsula also reported o
n the shared concerns of Qatar and Turkiye regarding the humanitarian situation in Gaza and Lebanon. Both nations condemned the indiscriminate targeting of civilians and criticized Israeli measures against the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees.
