Qatar and Sweden Engage in Talks to Boost Trade and Investment Cooperation

Doha: HE Minister of State for Foreign Trade Affairs at the Ministry of Commerce and Industry Dr. Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Sayed met with HE Minister of International Development Cooperation and Foreign Trade of the Kingdom of Sweden Benjamin Dousa, along with his accompanying delegation, who are currently visiting the country. Discussions during the meeting focused on strategies to enhance trade and investment cooperation between the two nations, and explored promising opportunities in sectors of common interest.

According to Qatar News Agency, the dialogue also addressed global economic developments and emphasized the importance of strengthening partnerships between the public and private sectors of both countries. The discussions highlighted prospects for partnership in priority sectors such as technology, industry, and sustainability. This aligns with Qatar’s strategy to diversify its economy and promote sustainable development, contributing to the aspirations of both nations for more comprehensive and effective economic cooperation.

Additionally, both sides stressed the significance of exchanging visits between official and economic delegations. This exchange is seen as a means to open new horizons for joint cooperation and to strengthen bilateral relations, ultimately achieving mutual interests.
