Qatar Chamber and Philippine Delegation Explore Trade Opportunities

Doha: First Vice Chairman of Qatar Chamber Mohamed bin Ahmed bin Twar Al Kuwari met with a delegation from the Philippine Ministry of Trade and Industry, led by Director of the Export Marketing Bureau Bianca Pearl R. Sykimte. The meeting, attended by HE Ambassador of the Republic of the Philippines to the State of Qatar Mardomel Celo D. Melicor and several businessmen from both nations, aimed to enhance trade cooperation and explore investment opportunities.

According to Qatar News Agency, the discussions focused on strengthening the private sector's collaboration between Qatar and the Philippines. Al Kuwari emphasized the strategic partnership with the Philippines, highlighting the significant role of the Filipino community in Qatar's development. He reiterated the Chamber's dedication to fostering business ties and exploring joint investments that benefit both countries.

Al Kuwari encouraged Qatari and Filipino companies to consider joint ventures, particularly in sectors such as food security and personal care products. Bianca Pearl R. Sykimte presented investment opportunities and key Philippine food products suitable for the Qatari market, while Qatar's Ministry of Public Health provided insights into the food hygiene sector and safety verification processes.

HE Ambassador Mardomel Celo D. Melicor expressed enthusiasm for strengthening bilateral relations across multiple fields and urged Qatari investors to consider opportunities in the Philippines, viewing Qatar as a strategic gateway to the region's countries.
