The State of Qatar has expressed its strong condemnation of the Israeli aggression against the Gaza Strip and southern Lebanon, and called on all parties to de-escalate, calm down and exercise maximum restraint.

In a statement on Friday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs held Israel solely responsible for the widening cycle of violence due to its provocative measures in the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, which the State of Qatar warned against. It also stressed the need for the international community to act urgently to compel Israel to stop its flagrant violations of international law and force it to respect the resolutions of international legitimacy.

The ministry reiterated Qatar’s firm position on the just Palestinian cause and the legitimate rights of the brotherly Palestinian people, and the establishment of their independent state on the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
