Doha: The Qatar Social and Cultural Center for the Blind organized an awareness session titled “Mental Health: The Foundation of Balance in Daily Life” to mark World Mental Health Day, observed annually on Oct. 10.
According to Qatar News Agency, the session was led by Tareq Mohamedin, a member of the center, who emphasized the importance of psychological balance in fostering stable and productive lives. The event explored the relationship between mental health and daily routines, offering strategies for effectively managing stress and challenges.
The speaker described mental health as a state of emotional, intellectual, and social equilibrium, enabling individuals to meet life’s demands while achieving personal satisfaction. He highlighted that mental well-being originates within the community and significantly impacts the quality of life for its members.
The session also provided practical tools for reducing daily stress and managing various life situations, with the aim of cultivating inner balance that empowers individuals to face challenges with confidence and composure.
This initiative is part of the center’s ongoing efforts to promote mental health awareness and enhance psychological and social support among its members, ultimately striving for a more compassionate and unified society.
