Amman: The activities marking Amman as the Arab Youth Capital for 2025 commenced in Jordan, featuring participation from a diverse group of Arab Ministers of Youth and Sports, representatives from the Arab League, and youth delegations from twenty Arab countries, including Qatar. The event also saw the launch of the executive plan for the Arab Strategy for Youth, Peace, and Security.
According to Qatar News Agency, the Qatari delegation was led by Fawaz Abdullah Al Musaifri, Director of the Youth Affairs Department at Qatar’s Ministry of Sports and Youth. Al Musaifri highlighted Qatar’s involvement in the activities of Amman – Arab Youth Capital 2025 and the associated conference for launching the Executive Plan for the Arab Strategy on Youth, Peace, and Security, along with attending dialogue sessions scheduled over two days.
Qatar’s Ministry of Sports and Youth also dispatched a delegation to partake in the 20th Meeting of Arab Capitals’ Youth, held in Jordan until July 11. Rashid Al Nuaimi led this deleg
ation, which included young Qatari individuals who actively engaged in dialogue sessions, cultural activities, and interactive meetings with other delegations, presenting an image of Qatari youth.
The event included various activities, such as panel discussions on youth economic empowerment in Arab countries, visits to significant sites like the Martyrs’ Memorial and the Jordanian Parliament, a trip to Petra, the official ceremony for Amman – Arab Youth Capital 2025, and dialogue sessions with ministers, officials, and entrepreneurs. An exhibition of traditional Arab heritage celebrated the culture of each participating country.
Al Nuaimi, in a statement to QNA, emphasized Qatar’s commitment to supporting youth, both nationally and across the Arab region, and enhancing their role in sustainable development. He noted the platform’s value for exchanging successful experiences and showcasing Qatar’s economic empowerment model, rooted in a national vision focused on youth potential. He expressed pride in the yo
uth who represented Qatar’s culture, ambitions, and active role in regional forums.
The Qatari delegation’s participation in the Arab Heritage Exhibition was well-received, with the Qatari pavilion highlighting cultural elements through displays of traditional clothing, perfumes, heritage products, and popular dishes such as Khanfaroosh, Rahash, Qatari sweets, and Arabic coffee.
