Doha: The State of Qatar took part in the meeting of the undersecretaries of culture ministries from the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member states, held in Kuwait, in preparation for the forthcoming meeting of the GCC ministers of culture.
According to Qatar News Agency, Qatar’s delegation was led by HE Undersecretary of the Ministry of Culture, Dr. Ghanem bin Mubarak Al Ali. The presiding country, represented by Secretary-General of the National Council for Culture, Arts and Letters (NCCAL) of Kuwait, Mohammad Khaled Al Jassar, initiated the meeting with a welcome address to the Gulf delegations and highlighted the significance of collaborative Gulf cultural initiatives.
HE Assistant Secretary-General for Economic and Development Affairs at the GCC General Secretariat, Khalid bin Ali Al Sunaidi, outlined the meeting agenda, which covered various joint cultural and artistic topics. The meeting concluded with the adoption of several recommendations, which will be presented for review and formal adoption at the GCC ministers of culture meeting.
