Cairo: The State of Qatar took part in the 4th session of the 2025 Arab Government Excellence Award Ceremony, held at the General Secretariat of the Arab League headquarters. The event was a significant gathering, marking the participation of numerous Arab nations in efforts to enhance government performance.

According to Qatar News Agency, the Qatari delegation was led by Dr. Essa Salem Al Kuwari, First Secretary at the Permanent Mission of the State of Qatar to the Arab League. The ceremony served as a platform to celebrate dedication and innovation within government institutions across the Arab world.

During the event, Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Secretary-General of the Arab League, highlighted the importance of the award in recognizing those who demonstrate initiative and the courage to implement change. He emphasized that these qualities are essential for government work, encouraging the creation of dynamic institutions that meet the needs of Arab citizens.

Launched in May 2019 by the Arab Administrative Development Organization, the Arab Government Excellence Award aims to inspire governments to pursue innovative and developmental approaches, fostering healthy competition and improving institutional effectiveness.
