Baghdad – The Qatar national football team won the third place in the Arab World Football Cup, which was held in the Qatari capital, Doha, by defeating Egypt on penalties, 5-4.
The goalless tie lasted for 90 minutes, and the match went into two additional periods, during which the result did not change, so the two sides ruled to penalty kicks to decide the result in favor of the Qatari team, which scored five kicks out of six, while Egypt scored only four kicks, to win Qatar third place, while Egypt finished fourth.
