Qatar National Bank Announces New Deposit Rates Across Multiple Currencies

Doha: Qatar National Bank (QNB) has released the latest deposit rates for various currencies, effective from Wednesday. The rates provide insights into the interest earnings for deposits held in USD, JPY, CHF, GBP, QAR, SAR, AED, and BHD, over different time periods ranging from one month to a year.

According to Qatar News Agency, the rates for USD deposits start at 4.08372% for a one-month term and gradually decrease to 3.60140% for a 12-month term. For JPY, the rates consistently remain at 0.40000% for one and two months, then slightly adjust to 0.33000% for three months and increase to 0.55000% for a 12-month term. The CHF rates are negative, starting from -0.18000% for one month and rising to -0.01000% for 12 months. GBP rates vary, beginning at 3.94000% for one month and peaking at 4.14000% for three months before settling at 4.13000% for a year.

In terms of local currencies, QAR deposit rates start at 4.60000% for a one-month duration and decrease to 4.15000% for a 12-month duration. SAR rates are consistent at 5.00000% for most terms, with a slight decrease to 4.95000% for 12 months. AED deposit rates begin at 2.05000% for one month and rise to 3.15000% for a 12-month term. Lastly, BHD rates remain stable at 4.75000% for terms up to six months, before dropping to 4.2500% for a 12-month period.

The newly announced rates reflect the current financial climate and offer depositors a range of options depending on their currency preferences and investment durations.
