Qatar National Bank Releases New Deposit Rates Across Multiple Currencies

Doha: Qatar National Bank (QNB) has announced its latest deposit rates, which were released on Wednesday. The rates are applicable for various currencies and differ according to the duration of the deposit terms, ranging from one month to twelve months.

According to Qatar News Agency, the deposit rates for the US Dollar (USD) start at 4.31758% for a one-month term, increasing slightly to 4.31824% for two months, and reaching 4.31890% for three months. A six-month deposit is offered at a rate of 4.23857%, with a twelve-month term dropping to 4.05228%.

For the Japanese Yen (JPY), the one-month deposit rate is set at 0.35000%, while two- and three-month terms are at 0.23000% and 0.25000%, respectively. The six-month rate increases to 0.45000%, and the twelve-month rate peaks at 0.55000%.

The Swiss Franc (CHF) shows negative rates, with a one-month rate at -0.20000% and a slight increase for two and three-month terms at -0.17000% and -0.19000%, respectively. The six-month term is set at -0.18000%, while the twelve-month term is slightly less negative at -0.07000%.

For the British Pound (GBP), the one-month deposit rate is 4.14000%, with an increase to 4.22000% for two months and 4.35000% for three months. The six-month rate is slightly lower at 4.18000%, but the twelve-month rate rises to 4.25000%.

In terms of local and regional currencies, the Qatar Riyal (QAR) has a one-month rate of 4.85000%, decreasing gradually over longer terms, ending at 4.50000% for a twelve-month deposit. The Saudi Riyal (SAR) starts at 4.90000% for one month and increases to 5.10000% for both three and six-month terms, before slightly decreasing to 5.05000% for twelve months.

The UAE Dirham (AED) shows an upward trend from 2.05000% for a one-month deposit to 3.15000% for a twelve-month term. The Bahraini Dinar (BHD) maintains a consistent rate of 5.00000% for all terms up to six months, before decreasing to 4.50000% for a twelve-month deposit.
