Riyadh: The State of Qatar participated Thursday in the 19th meeting of Their Excellencies the heads of government agencies concerned with human rights in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, held at the GCC General Secretariat headquarters in Riyadh. The meeting brought together key representatives from GCC member states to discuss and align on human rights policies and initiatives within the region.

According to Qatar News Agency, the State of Qatar’s delegation to the meeting was chaired by the Assigned with the Duties of Human Rights Department’s Director Sara Abdulla Al Saadi. The discussions focused on strengthening cooperation and sharing best practices among GCC countries to enhance the promotion and protection of human rights. The meeting also provided an opportunity for the member states to address common challenges and explore collaborative solutions in the field of human rights.
