Riyadh: The State of Qatar is poised to participate in the Regional Social Security Forum for Asia and the Pacific (RSSF Asia-Pacific), which is scheduled to take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, from December 3-5, 2024. Leading Qatar’s delegation will be His Excellency Ahmed bin Ali Al Hammadi, the Director General of the General Retirement and Social Insurance Authority (GRSIA).
According to Qatar News Agency, Qatar’s participation aims to showcase its prominent role in social security and highlight its innovative systems designed to achieve social justice and financial sustainability. The forum’s agenda includes a variety of panel discussions and workshops addressing the economic challenges faced by the Asia-Pacific region. It will also focus on best practices for achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the role of education in developing future skills. New initiatives and recommendations will be presented in the final session of the forum.
Organized by the International Social Security Asso
ciation (ISSA), the forum is a triennial event that serves as a premier platform for sharing expertise and discussing future challenges related to social security and insurance protection. Qatar’s participation provides a unique opportunity to exchange knowledge with nations across the Asia-Pacific region and to emphasize its leading experiences in governance and innovation.
Participants will engage in discussions on critical topics such as innovation in social security systems, enhancing operational efficiency, and exploring sustainable solutions for the financial and social challenges facing retirement systems.
