Qatar to Participate in Arab Games in Algeria With 104 Athletes

The State of Qatar is participating with 104 male and female athletes in the 13th edition of the Arab Games, which will be held in Algeria from July 5-15.

The participants represent 15 Qatari sports federations in 17 games: handball, volleyball, basketball, swimming, cycling, athletics, gymnastics, chess, fencing, sailing, boxing, karate, judo, table tennis and badminton, in addition to athletics and goalball for people with special needs.

The Qatari teams aim to achieve the best results and compete for medals in all games.

Qatar won 110 medals (32 gold, 38 silver and 40 bronze) in the last edition of the Arab Sports Games, which was held in Doha in 2011.

The countries participating in the Arab Games Algeria 2023 will compete in 23 games, including three for people with special needs. The competitions will be held in 5 cities: Algeria, Oran, Constantine, Annaba and Tipaza.

The organization of these games was entrusted to Algeria on March 14, 2023 in Jeddah, during a meeting of the Executive Office of the Union of Arab National Olympic Committees.
