Al-Sharq for its part said that the joy of the Islamic world with the advent of Eid Al-Fitr was lacking due to the conflict in a number of Arab countries, as families in Sudan, Syria, Yemen, Palestine and other parts of the world continue to suffer from war. The paper added that developments in Sudan were not reassuring as the fighting led to the death of a number of innocent civilians.

For its, The Peninsula focused in its editorial on Eid and the value it adds to families’ sense of unity. The paper discussed some of the Eid-related events that will take place in various places in the country like Katara, Souq Waqif Doha and Wakra, Msheireb, Aspire and several malls. Parks will also remain open until 2 AM, to give families a chance to enjoy some outdoor activities.
