Doha: In their editorials on Sunday, Qatari newspapers delved into significant topics on local, Arab, and international levels, prominently featuring the State of Qatar’s dedication to assisting underprivileged countries through direct aid and collaboration with United Nations organizations and international bodies.

According to Qatar News Agency, Al-Raya newspaper praised Qatar’s commitment to supporting underprivileged nations, noting the country’s substantial financial contributions to various UN programs, which position it among the largest donors. The editorial emphasized Qatar’s focus on humanitarian aid and international cooperation to promote global stability, security, peace, and justice.

The editorial in Al-Raya further outlined Qatar’s sustained efforts in global development and collaboration, underscoring the nation’s pledge to aid the least developed countries with an ambitious and inclusive action program. It also highlighted the importance of stability and peace as foundations for sustainable development, contrasting these with the hindrances posed by aggressive conflicts.

Al-Sharq newspaper, on the other hand, focused on Qatar’s comprehensive support for Lebanon. The editorial attributed this assistance to the strong fraternal bonds between the two countries and Qatar’s consistent policy of aiding allied nations during crises. The newspaper pointed out the significant military support provided to Lebanon, noting a recent financial grant to the Lebanese Army, following directives from HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani.

The publication further elaborated that this financial grant is part of a broader initiative launched by Qatar in 2022 to support the Lebanese Army. Al-Sharq concluded by emphasizing Qatar’s commitment to supporting the Lebanese people, not only through military aid but also via continuous contributions in the humanitarian, health, and education sectors.
