Basel: HE Governor of Qatar Central Bank (QCB) Sheikh Bandar bin Mohammed bin Saud Al-Thani participated in the 95th Annual Meeting of the Bank for International Settlements (BIS), held in Basel, Switzerland, on June 28-29, 2025. The meeting addressed a number of topics on the agenda.
According to Qatar News Agency, the BIS Annual Meeting provided a platform for central bank governors and financial leaders from around the world to discuss pressing issues and developments in the global financial system. The agenda included discussions on monetary policy, financial stability, and regulatory challenges facing the international banking sector.
The participation of Sheikh Bandar bin Mohammed bin Saud Al-Thani highlighted Qatar’s commitment to engaging with global financial institutions and contributing to international financial discourse. The meeting also facilitated the exchange of insights and strategies among central bank leaders to enhance cooperation and address shared challenges in the financial domain.
