QFFD and Qatar Charity Deliver Urgent Aid to Palestinian Refugees in Jordan

Amman: The Qatar Fund for Development (QFFD), alongside Qatar Charity (QC), has provided crucial humanitarian assistance to Palestinian refugees from the Gaza Strip residing in Jordan. The aid, aimed at alleviating urgent needs, includes food parcels and household support packages.

According to Qatar News Agency, QFFD’s press release on Wednesday detailed the distribution of 5,000 food parcels and 5,000 packages containing essential household items such as cookware and kitchen utensils. These were delivered to families in Palestinian refugee camps, notably Jerash Camp and Hitteen Camp, who are facing harsh living conditions and a severe lack of basic necessities.

The distribution effort was coordinated with representatives from QFFD and QC, as well as officials from the Department of Palestinian Affairs in Jordan, ensuring that aid reaches those most in need efficiently and effectively.

Saleh Al Marri, General Supervisor of QC’s Office in Jordan, emphasized the initiative as part of Qatar’s humanitarian duty and solidarity with Gaza’s refugees. He highlighted the cooperative spirit between Qatar and Jordan, reaffirming the commitment of Qatar Charity, QFFD, and the Jordanian government to continue their support for those affected.

Yousef Al Mulla, Acting Head of the Humanitarian Aid Department at QFFD, expressed that the aid represents QFFD’s dedication to supporting vulnerable populations during crises. He stressed the importance of timely aid delivery to improve the living conditions of the most affected families.

This initiative underscores Qatar’s ongoing commitment to humanitarian efforts in collaboration with Jordan, enhancing regional solidarity and the vital role of charitable organizations in addressing urgent humanitarian needs and promoting community stability.
