Doha: On the occasion of the National Sports Day, the Qatar Philatelic and Numismatic Center (QPNC) of the Ministry of Culture opened the Sports Stamps Exhibition, which will continue through February 28 at the center’s premises in Al Sadd. The exhibition showcases 11 glass frames filled with sports stamps from various countries, each frame containing 16 stamp panels.
According to Qatar News Agency, the QPNC, in collaboration with the Arab Countries Stamp Museum at the Cultural Village (Katara), is organizing another exhibition of sports stamps and memorabilia. This event will take place in Building 22 in Katara and will run until February 20.
Additionally, the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 exhibition is ongoing at the Sheikh Faisal bin Qassim Al-Thani Museum. It will continue through February 28, featuring a collection of stamps from the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 alongside stamps issued in Uruguay in 1930. The exhibition documents the achievements of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 through stamps, medals, and postal envelopes.
