Doha: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) general index saw a decline at the start of trading on Thursday, dropping 43.36 points, or 0.39%, to reach 11,033 points compared to the previous session’s close.
According to Qatar News Agency, the market experienced losses across four sectors. The Telecoms and the Banks and Financial Services sectors both fell by 0.64%. Meanwhile, the Consumer Goods and Services sector decreased by 0.24%, and the Industrials sector slipped by 0.14%. On the other hand, some sectors managed to record gains, with Insurance increasing by 0.23%, Transportation by 0.21%, and Real Estate by 0.05%.
By 10:00 am, the QSE had registered 2,480 transactions amounting to QR 31.144 million, involving the distribution of 10.895 million shares.
