Doha: The general index of Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) dropped 31.34 points, or 0.30%, at the start of Monday’s trading, down to the level of 10,469 points, compared to yesterday’s closing.
According to Qatar News Agency, the index was weighed down by a decline in five sectors: Banks and Financial Services by 0.52%; Insurance by 0.48%; Real Estate by 0.34%; Transportation by 0.18%; and Industrials by 0.06%. However, the performance was positive for Consumer Goods and Services by 0.17% and Telecoms by 0.08%.
By 10:00 am, 21.532 million shares were traded in 4,204 transactions valued QR 49.128 million.
