Doha: May 21 - The general index of Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) dropped 4.96 points, or 0.05%, at the beginning of trading on Wednesday, reaching 9,711 points, compared to yesterday's closing. The general index was weighed down by a decline in six sectors: Insurance by 1.41%; Transportation by 0.34%; Real Estate by 0.20%; Telecoms by 0.17%; Banks and Financial Services by 0.07%; and Industrials by 0.1%. On the other hand, Consumer Goods and Services rose by 1%. At 10:00 am, 37.022 million shares were traded in 2,658 transactions valued QR 93.607 million. Source: Qatar News Agency
