Doha: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) general index rose by 18.64 points, or 0.17%, at the start of trading on Wednesday, reaching 10,852 points, compared to the previous session’s close.
According to Qatar News Agency, the QSE index was supported by gains across most sectors: Industrials (+0.36%), Insurance (+0.24%), Banks and Financial Services (+0.17%), Telecoms (+0.20%), Real Estate (+0.19%), and Consumer Goods and Services (+0.10%). The Transportation sector was the only decliner, falling by 0.08%.
As of 10:00 am, the QSE recorded a trading volume of 24.034 million shares, with a total value of QR 55.672 million across 2,582 transactions.
