Doha: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) general index experienced a modest rise of 3.50 points, or 0.03%, during the opening of Tuesday’s trading session, reaching a level of 10,773 points. This increase marks a slight improvement compared to the previous session’s closing figures.
According to Qatar News Agency, the positive movement in the QSE index was driven by gains in several key sectors. The Real Estate sector showed an increase of 0.29%, followed by the Industrials sector with a 0.18% rise. The Transportation sector also contributed positively with a gain of 0.11%, and the Banks and Financial Services sector recorded a marginal increase of 0.01%.
Conversely, certain sectors displayed negative performance, slightly offsetting the overall growth. The Insurance sector saw a decline of 0.02%, the Consumer Goods and Services sector fell by 0.03%, and the Telecoms sector decreased by 0.21%.
As of 10:00 AM, trading activity at the Qatar Stock Exchange reported a total trade value of QAR 62.571 million. This was achieved through the exchange of 29.533 million shares across 2,533 transactions.
