Clashes renewed between the Sudanese army and the Rapid Support Forces, Saturday morning, in the capital, Khartoum, with heavy and light weapons.
The city of Bahri, north of Khartoum, is still witnessing armed clashes, with intense flight of warplanes and the sound of cannons.
The city of Omdurman, west of the capital, is also witnessing clashes, while the Sudanese army bombed with heavy artillery locations of the Rapid Support Forces in a number of locations in the city.
The Sudanese army published, on its Facebook page, a video showing its forces distributing foodstuffs to Sudanese citizens in the “Al-Shajara” neighborhood, south of Khartoum.
Since mid-April, the Sudanese army and the Rapid Support Forces have been engaged in clashes that a series of truces have not succeeded in stopping, which left more than 3,000 people dead, most of them civilians, and more than 4 million displaced persons and refugees inside and outside the country, according to the United Nations.
