Moscow: The Russian Defence Ministry announced that 255 Ukrainian soldiers had been eliminated in the past 24 hours on the Kursk axis.
According to Qatar News Agency, the Ministry said in a statement that the Ukrainian army’s losses on the Kursk axis over the last 24 hours amounted to 255 soldiers, 3 armored personnel carriers, an armored combat vehicle, and other equipment. The Russian Defence Ministry stated that units of the North group of troops targeted formations of 14 Ukrainian brigades around seven towns and border villages in the Kursk province.
The statement added that Russian air strikes and artillery fire hit enemy troops and military equipment in the vicinity of four towns and villages in the Kursk border areas. The Ministry detailed the total losses suffered by Ukrainian forces on the Kursk axis since the beginning of the fighting, which included more than 32,930 military personnel, 213 tanks, 136 infantry vehicles, 115 armored personnel carriers, 1167 armored combat vehicles, and other weapon
s and military equipment.
The Russian Defence Ministry had previously declared control of two new towns in Donetsk Oblast. Russia launched a special military operation in Ukraine on February 24, 2022, with no sign of ending it, in light of Moscow’s assertion that its operation will continue until its full goals are achieved.
