Doha: The Russian Defense Ministry announced Monday that its air defense systems shot down 251 Ukrainian drones overnight.

According to Qatar News Agency, the Ministry stated that air defense systems intercepted and destroyed 251 Ukrainian drones, with 40 of them shot down over Crimea and 62 over the Black Sea. Additional drones were intercepted over the Kursk and Belgorod regions.

Ukrainian forces, on their part, claimed to have carried out strikes targeting Russian oil refineries and other energy facilities.

Since the war began in February 2022, both Russia and Ukraine have issued near-daily reports of repelling attacks from each other. However, due to the conditions of the ongoing conflict, these claims cannot be independently verified.
