Riyadh: Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Defense spokesperson Major General Turki Al Malki announced, in a statement, that the air defense systems successfully engaged a ballistic threat over Riyadh earlier Wednesday.

According to Qatar News Agency, earlier, the ministry reported intercepting and destroying two ballistic missiles launched toward the Eastern Province.
