Riyadh: Saudi Energy Minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman bin Abdulaziz met with German Minister of Economic Affairs and Energy Katharina Reiche to discuss ways to enhance cooperation in the fields of energy, industry, and investment. The meeting highlighted potential areas of collaboration, particularly in renewable energy, hydrogen, technology, and healthcare sectors.
According to Qatar News Agency, the discussions took place during the 21st session of the Saudi-German Joint Committee for Economic and Technical Cooperation, alongside the Saudi-German Business Council meeting and the Energy Sector Roundtable. These events saw extensive participation from major energy companies in both countries, emphasizing the importance of bilateral cooperation in the energy sector.
A significant outcome of the meetings was the signing of a memorandum of understanding, which aims to establish a general framework for cooperation in various energy sectors. Additionally, several other agreements and memoranda of understanding were signed between public and private sector institutions from both countries. These agreements reflect the robust economic relations between Saudi Arabia and Germany and underscore the pivotal role of the private sector in supporting joint cooperation initiatives.
