Baghdad – Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud confirmed that the talks with Iran did not reach their goal, and that the hand is still extended to it.
He said in a press conference: The Jeddah summit did not discuss any defense alliance with Israel, and there is no such thing as an “Arab NATO”.
He added: The opening of the airspace has nothing to do with establishing diplomatic relations with Israel and is not a prelude to other steps.
Prince Faisal explained that the most important highlight of the Jeddah summit is the contribution of our countries to setting the global agenda in order to preserve their interests.
Today, Saturday, for a few hours, the Arab-American Summit, called the Jeddah Summit for Security and Development, was launched in the Saudi city of Jeddah, with the participation of the leaders of: the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, and the Sultanate of Oman, in addition to Egypt, Jordan, and Iraq, with US President Joe Biden.
