Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani ACE Award: A Pillar of Global Anti-Corruption Initiatives.

Doha: The President of the Administrative Control and Transparency Authority (ACTA), Hamad bin Nasser Al Misnad, has underscored the pivotal role of the Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani Anti-Corruption Excellence Award (ACE Award) in driving global anti-corruption efforts. This award has been recognized for its significant influence at both international and regional levels.

According to Qatar News Agency, His Excellency highlighted that the ACE Award is conferred annually on International Anti-Corruption Day, November 19, to honor individuals and institutions that have made substantial contributions to the fight against corruption. The award aims to showcase exemplary actions and best practices worldwide, fostering awareness, support, and solidarity in combating corruption. It encourages new initiatives to establish a society free of corruption.

His Excellency explained that the Award includes several categories, such as Lifetime/Outstanding Achievement, Academic Research and Education, Youth Creativity and
Engagement, Innovation/Investigative Journalism, and Safeguarding Sports from Corruption. These categories recognize diverse efforts within the global anti-corruption framework. The award promotes successful practices that inspire governments and institutions worldwide, strengthening international efforts against corruption.

Regionally, the ACE Award raises standards and fosters constructive dialogue among Arab countries. It encourages youth in the Arab region to actively engage in anti-corruption initiatives, increasing transparency and integrity awareness. The award also addresses regional challenges, such as promoting good governance and adopting context-appropriate strategies.
