AFRAID OF NOTHING a new 2-year-old winner for Qatar Racing Ltd

Continuing the good run of form for the Qatar Racing Ltd’s colours, AFRAID OF NOTHING broke her maiden on just third time of asking in the British Stallion Studs EBF Novice Median Auction Stakes at Epsom, UK on Thursday 12 September 2019. The two-year-old bay filly of Charm Spirit took the lead directly out of the starting gates; pulling clear of her rivals over two furlongs from the winning post. AFRAID OF NOTHING was never worried throughout the seven-furlong race for two-year olds. In a demonstration of class, jockey Jason Watson eased her down to finish as she won by six lengths. The Shark Bay Racing Syndicate-owned and Gary Moore-trained MOONDANCE was second under Liam Keniry. The Maid In Heaven Partnership-owned and Jim Boyle-trained Pure Purfection was further three lengths behind in third under Charlie Bennett.

Trained by Ralph Beckett, AFRAID OF NOTHING is the first foal out of the GALILEO’s mare LADY DRAGON, who was a three-time winner and Stakes placed in France for Qatar Racing Ltd.
