Representing the colours of Hamad bin Abdulrahman Al Attiyah, the two-year-old colt HAYZUM was back in the winners’ enclosure in the Prix des Capucines, a Class 2 race over 1,800 meters, at ParisLongchamp, France on Thursday 31 October 2019. Trained by Elias Mikhalides, the chestnut colt was quietly away before pushing up to take the running in the first 200m under jockey Alexis Badel. He set a decent pace and maintained a comfortable lead throughout the race. Hugging the inside rail, the son of ANODIN was never in danger and won handily by three quarters of a length in front of NOBODY’S (VESPONE).
A winner on his debut in August, HAYZUM was having his third career start here. Bred by Jedburgh Stud and Thierry de la HeronniAre, he was bought as a yearling at the Arqana Volume 2 sale.
