Doha, The Qatari wrestling team left yesterday to participate in the 2019 World Wrestling Championships to be held in Kazakhstan from September 14 to 22. The event will serve as a qualification tournament for the 2020 Summer Tokyo Olympics.
The Qatari team will participate with two players, Abdul Rahman Ibrahim, (70 kg) in freestyle wrestling and Bader Bakhit Sharif, (77 kg) in Greco-Roman wrestling.
The President of the Qatar Boxing and Wrestling Federation (QBWF) Yousuf Ali Al Kazim confirmed that the Qatari wrestlers are ready to compete in the tournament, as they aim at winning medals and securing their spots in 2020 Summer Tokyo Olympics.
