Doha: Sultan Haitham bin Tarik of Oman and Iran’s President Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian discussed in a phone conversation on Tuesday the concerning recent regional escalations and military tensions, emphasizing the importance of maintaining security and stability in the region.

According to Qatar News Agency, both sides stressed the need for all parties involved to exercise restraint, apply wisdom, resort to dialogue, and work earnestly to halt the cycle of military escalation as to spare the region for further tension and give way to diplomatic solutions.

In turn, the Iranian President reaffirmed his country’s commitment to cooperation in order to prevent further escalations.
