Doha: A delegation from the Syrian Ministry of Interior, led by Assistant Minister of Interior for Security Affairs Major General Abdel Qader Tahan, visited several security and service departments at the Ministry of Interior in Qatar. This visit was aimed at bolstering cooperation and exchanging expertise between the two nations’ interior ministries.

According to Qatar News Agency, the Syrian delegation sought to gain insights into the operational practices of the Qatari Ministry of Interior, focusing on security and service work. They were particularly interested in the latest technical applications employed to enhance security efficiency.

During their visit, the delegation reviewed methodologies and services provided by various departments within the ministry. The itinerary included key facilities such as the National Command Center (NCC), the Al Fazaa Police Department, and the Police Academy. It also covered specialized units like the Airport Security Department, Airport Passports Department, General Directorate of Passports, Department of Nationality and Travel Documents, General Directorate of Criminal Investigation, General Directorate of Traffic, and the General Directorate of Drug Control.
