Syrian refugee killed in Israeli drone strike in southern Lebanon

Western media in Lebanon reported today, Saturday, that a Syrian refugee was killed in a strike carried out by an Israeli drone targeting a motorcycle on the Hamoul road in southern Lebanon.

The incident occurred the day after an Israeli warplane launched a raid on Friday afternoon, targeting a residential building in the southern suburb of the Lebanese capital.

The Israeli army said that it targeted a meeting of Hezbollah leaders in a precise operation and according to intelligence information.

Hezbollah has so far mourned 14 members and leaders, namely Ibrahim Aqil and Ahmed Wahbi, who were killed in the raid.

Lebanese media reported that the death toll in the raid exceeded 20, with the toll likely to rise, especially with the ongoing operations to remove the rubble and find missing persons, while the number of injured reached more than 60, including critical cases.
