The Iranian Ambassador to Doha, Hamid Reza Dehghani Boudeh, announced the release of 3 Iranian prisoners in Qatar yesterday evening, Wednesday, who had been arrested for entering Qatari waters by mistake.
“With the efforts of my colleagues at the Embassy and with the help of Qatari officials, we obtained an order to release three of our subjects (Youssef B., Abdul-Rahman B. and Farhad S.),” Dehghani Buddah said.
“They were arrested for entering Qatar’s waters by mistake,” he said, adding: “They will return to our country in the coming days, and we are negotiating for the release of other prisoners.”
It is worth noting that on August 22, Iran’s Ambassador to Doha confirmed the release of two Iranian prisoners in Qatar who entered the country with “Haya” tourist cards.
