The American University and Istishari Hospital in Amman sign a cooperation agreement

Ramallah – Together – As part of its ongoing efforts to develop the field of medical education, enhance health care, and prepare and qualify medical personnel, the Arab American University and the Istishari Hospital in Amman/Jordan signed a cooperation agreement aimed at training human medicine students enrolled at the university on its Ramallah and Jenin campuses, with the aim of improving the provision of… Curative and preventive medical services and the preparation and qualification of medical personnel.

The Arab American University was represented by the University’s Vice President for the Ramallah Campus, Professor Muhammad Asiya, and the Dean of the Faculty of Human Medicine, Dr. Malik Zabin, while the Istishari Hospital was represented by the General Director, Dr. Tariq Al-Lawzi, and the Medical Director, Dr. Mahmoud Abu Ubaila.

The scope of the agreement includes accrediting the Istishari Hospital in Amman as an educational and training center for students of the Faculty of Human Medicine at the A
rab American University, where medical specialists with qualifications and experience will be provided for the purposes of education, scientific research and training. Cadres will also be assigned to attend workshops, conferences and training courses organized by both parties.

Professor Muhammad Asia praised the importance of this agreement as an important step towards achieving a strategic partnership with Istishari Hospital in Amman, stressing the university’s commitment to developing medical education and providing high levels of quality. He said: ‘This partnership comes within our continuous endeavor to develop academic programs and their practical outcomes inside and outside Palestine.’ “.

In turn, Dr. Malik Zabin pointed out the importance of enhancing the skills of human medicine students with high quality to contribute to improving the health services provided to the community, praising the medical staff and expertise working at the Istishari Hospital in Amman and the positive impact it will have on
the students’ skills.

For his part, Dr. Tariq Al-Lawzi praised the reputation of the Arab American University, and that this agreement fulfills the hospital’s vision of cooperating with distinguished scientific institutions locally and internationally in order to reduce the gap between scientific education and practical training. Al-Lawzi stressed that the agreement will provide the opportunity for students to benefit from high-level training in Istishari Hospital.

It is worth noting that the Arab American University offers a specialization in human medicine to its students on its Ramallah and Jenin campuses, and seeks through these agreements to strengthen its position as a leading educational institution in the field of medicine in the region.
