The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces follows up on the security plans for Eid al-Adha

Prime Minister, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Mohammed Shia al-Sudani, visited the headquarters of the Joint Operations Command this evening, Sunday, to follow up on the progress of the implementation of the security plan for Eid al-Adha.

Al-Sudani was briefed on the security measures for securing public recreational and service facilities, and directed to facilitate the movement of citizens.

He also listened to a briefing on the necessary procedures for the movement of pilgrims, back and forth, and the most important updates carried out by the operations commands in their areas of responsibility, appreciating the efforts of the security forces in spreading security and achieving smooth traffic during the days of Eid, and directed to do more to maintain security stability.

The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces stressed that the rapid response to security incidents and their handling is sufficient to prevent citizens from relying on inaccurate information circulated on social media, as the ab
ility and potential to confront various security challenges are available. He stressed that the government has provided financial support to deploy modern technological means to cover all areas of Baghdad, from entrances to intersections, with cameras to monitor incidents.

The Prime Minister referred to some recent fire incidents, directing the security forces to complete the investigation and take all preventive measures and procedures to prevent such incidents by emphasizing public safety procedures.
