Baghdad The Emir of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, congratulated Iraq on the centenary of the founding of the modern Iraqi state, stressing his country’s support for the people and government of Iraq in dedicating security and stability and achieving more progress and prosperity.

The Emir of the State of Qatar sent a message to the people and government of Iraq, in which he said, on the occasion of the Republic of Iraq’s celebration of the centenary of the founding of the Iraqi state, I am pleased to extend, on behalf of the people of the State of Qatar and in my own name, my sincere congratulations and blessings, coupled with the best wishes of the brotherly people of Iraq and their esteemed government.

He added, Iraq has always been a cradle of civilizations and a tributary of humanity, it has contributed a great deal to the Arab renaissance throughout the ages, and it is worthy of all appreciation and loyalty from its nation and all humanity.

He reiterated that the State of Qatar will spare no effort to stand by Iraq and support the Iraqi brothers and support them in their efforts to establish security and stability and achieve more progress and prosperity for their dear country./End
