The Minister of Defense, Thabet Muhammad Saeed Al-Abbasi, met in his office at the Ministry's headquarters, the Canadian Ambassador to Iraq, Gregory Galligan, and his accompanying delegation.

The Ministry of Defense said in a statement, "During the meeting, they discussed bilateral relations and joint cooperation between Iraq and Canada, and ways to enhance them."
