The Minister of Finance, Taif Sami, affirmed Iraq’s keenness to provide the required support to increase the volume of Saudi investments.

Sami said during her participation in the meetings of the Iraqi-Saudi Coordinating Council in its fifth session: We are keen to provide the required support to increase the volume of Saudi investments and benefit from the distinguished investment opportunities provided by the Iraqi government.

The Minister of Finance added: We reached with the brothers in the Kingdom common visions to support the vital sectors in Iraq, especially agriculture, industry and health.

She pointed out: the agreement to activate the work of the committees between the two sides in support of infrastructure projects in Iraq, such as hospitals, schools and health centers.

The Minister of Finance continued: We focused, among the priorities of our meetings with Saudi officials, on supporting the development of the banking sector and energy projects, and improving the business environment between the two parties.
