The Minister of Immigration and Displacement, Evan Faiq, visited the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate today to congratulate the President of the Journalists Syndicate, Muayyad Al-Lami, on the occasion of his re-election as President of the General Federation of Arab Journalists.

During her meeting with the President of the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate and the members of the Syndicate Council, the Minister expressed her pride in the Syndicate of Journalists for its distinguished role and the great successes achieved by the Syndicate at all levels and its continuous defense of journalists and media professionals to perform their media and professional duty and convey the bright image of Iraq to the world public opinion.

She praised the great sacrifices made by the press family, stressing the ministry’s keenness on fruitful cooperation with the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate and the press family in implementing its programs and activities that serve the press and media work in Iraq.

For his part, the head of the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate, Muayyad Al-Lami, gave a detailed explanation of the nature of the work of the Syndicate, its media institutions and its branches in the governorates, expressing the Syndicate’s readiness to cooperate with the Ministry of Migration and Displacement and its humanitarian efforts that serve social peace in Iraq.

The Minister of Immigration and the Displaced toured the corridors of the Syndicate and expressed her admiration for the accuracy and organization of the work in all its joints.
