The Deputy Prime Minister for Energy Affairs, Minister of Oil, Hayan Abdul-Ghani, held an expanded meeting with advanced cadres in the North Oil Company and officials of the oil sector in Kirkuk, in the presence of Governor Rakan Al-Jubouri.

The governor of Kirkuk said: “During the meeting, we discussed technical ways to develop the oil sector and increase production rates, in a way that maximizes the State’s resources and in line with the government program and the directives of the Prime Minister.”

During the meeting, the governor stressed the importance of developing the oil sector in Kirkuk Governorate, and its inclusion in the licensing rounds for the development of the oil and gas industry, in a way that contributes to increasing production rates, calling for the implementation of service projects at the initiative of the oil sector in the field of projects, roads and green spaces, in order to enhance joint cooperation efforts and serve the citizens of Kirkuk.
