Ramallah – Ma’an – As part of its efforts to raise awareness of banking services in general and Islamic banking in particular, the Palestine Islamic Bank organized an awareness workshop on Islamic financing formulas at the College of Business at the Arab American University in Jenin, with the participation of a crowd of college students and teaching staff.
The workshop was opened by the Chairman of the Sharia Supervisory Board at the Palestine Islamic Bank, Dr. Alaa Razia, who spoke to the participants about the difference between Islamic banks and commercial banks and the tasks of the Sharia supervisory bodies in Islamic banks in ensuring the direction of the bank’s work and activities and ensuring their compliance with the provisions and controls of Islamic Sharia, in addition to the internationally approved references in the field of Islamic banking. He also answered the attendees’ inquiries. Regarding the legal aspects of financial transactions and their details.

Commenting on this awareness workshop, the Director General of the Palestine Islamic Bank, Dr. Imad Al-Saadi: It falls within the bank’s ongoing efforts to raise awareness of Islamic banking and various banking services, explaining that it comes in parallel with the bank’s launch of many Islamic banking products and services that meet customers’ changing needs and aspirations.
Al-Saadi stated that the Palestine Islamic Bank is committed to this awareness aspect and implements many events annually in this regard due to the importance of awareness in increasing the public’s interest in Islamic banking services, which leads to improving the levels of financial inclusion in Palestine and enhancing financial culture among the public.
