The PLO Appreciates The Arab Position On The Palestinian Issue At The Jeddah Summit

Baghdad – The Palestine Liberation Organization appreciated the Arab position on the Palestinian issue at the Jeddah Summit.

Hussein Al-Sheikh, a member of the Executive Committees of the Palestine Liberation Organization and the central committee of Fatah Movement, appreciated the Arab position on the Palestinian issue during the summit held in the Saudi city of Jeddah, in which a number of Arab leaders participated alongside US President Joe Biden.

Al-Sheikh said, in a tweet via his official account on Twitter today, Saturday: We appreciated the firm and historical Arab position on the issue of Palestine and its live presence at the Jeddah Summit.

The Palestinian official expressed his appreciation for the assertion of the Arab kings and leaders attending the summit on the need to implement international legitimacy in ending the Israeli occupation and establishing an independent Palestinian state with East Quds as its capital.

Today, Saturday, for a few hours, the Arab-American Summit, called the Jeddah Summit for Security and Development, was launched in the Saudi city of Jeddah, with the participation of the leaders of: the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, and the Sultanate of Oman, in addition to Egypt, Jordan, and Iraq, with US President Joe Biden.

The Arab-American Summit discussed major files such as the Palestinian issue, the war in Yemen, the regional security system, relations with Iran and its nuclear program, and files of joint economic cooperation in the region.

The Arab leaders stressed the need to work for a just and comprehensive solution to the Palestinian issue, stressing the need for economic cooperation in the region to include the Palestinian National Authority.
