The President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, stressed the importance of supporting Nineveh and the rest of the provinces to enhance security and stability.

A presidential statement stated: “The President of the Republic met today in the city of Mosul, the Governor of Nineveh, Najm al-Jubouri, in the presence of Parliament Speaker Muhammad al-Halbousi, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Planning Muhammad Tamim, and the Ministers of Culture Ahmed Fakak al-Badrani, Minister of Defense Thabet Muhammad Saeed al-Abbasi, and Minister of Immigration and Displacement Evan Faiq Jabro, and a number of members of the House of Representatives from Nineveh Governorate.

The President of the Republic congratulated the Governor of Nineveh and the people of the city for organizing the Spring Festival after a break of two decades, praising the level of preparation and organization of the festival and the participation of the various components of the city and its various spectra, indicating that organizing the festival is an important step to confirm the return of life to Mosul and overcome the challenges it faced previously.

The President stressed the importance of supporting Nineveh and the rest of the provinces to enhance security and stability and move towards reconstruction and construction projects and improve the service and living conditions for all citizens.

For his part, Governor Najm Al-Jubouri expressed his deep thanks and appreciation to the President of the Republic for attending the opening ceremony of the Spring Festival in Mosul, praising his support for Nineveh Governorate and its people./ End
